Plastic rechroming is done with a
vacuum
metalized
process. Most plastic pieces are
normally repairable at an extra nominal cost. Plastic parts
and panels are first stripped and thoroughly
cleaned. Broken tabs and other repairs are first done.
Followed by removal of all scratches and other minor
flaws. The next steps are various levels of sanding and
polishing of plastic to a mirror look finish. Then
finally the pieces are thoroughly cleaned prior to the
re-chroming process.
